Une marque historique<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Michael Thonet, fondateur de la marque des meubles Thonet dites \u201cThonet fr\u00e8res\u201d \u00e0 Vienne, a r\u00e9volutionn\u00e9 l\u2019industrie du meuble en inventant le principe de meuble en \u201cs\u00e9rie\u201d au milieu du XIX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle (avec ses 5 fils). Modeste \u00e9b\u00e9niste menuisier au commencement de sa carri\u00e8re, il a l\u2019id\u00e9e de simplifier la confection des meubles de l\u2019\u00e9poque et de r\u00e9aliser notamment des chaises en 6 pi\u00e8ces d\u00e9tach\u00e9es. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Elles poss\u00e8dent un vissage facile, une assise circulaire caract\u00e9ristique, flexible, un dossier arrondi et ce gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 qu\u2019il invente: le cintrage du bois bouilli dans un bain de colle. Ainsi il fa\u00e7onne des chaises l\u00e9g\u00e8res et souples telle que l\u2019iconique \u201cn\u00b01\u201d con\u00e7ue pour un palais viennois, et de laquelle vont d\u00e9river d\u2019autres nombreuses s\u00e9ries, tr\u00e8s connues, vendues \u00e0 des millions d\u2019exemplaires en Europe.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Il est \u00e9galement le premier concepteur du fauteuil \u00e0 bascule en bois courb\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’entreprise a m\u00eame r\u00e9sist\u00e9 aux 2 grandes guerres, et la famille Thonet a mis au point un nouveau mat\u00e9riau pour son mobilier, apr\u00e8s celles-ci: l\u2019acier tubulaire cintr\u00e9 \u00e0 froid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La force de cette maison embl\u00e9matique est d\u2019avoir eu en son temps une vision avant-gardiste, et d\u2019imaginer avant tout le monde l\u2019industrialisation du meuble. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entre tradition et modernit\u00e9<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cette marque lanc\u00e9e depuis presque 200 ans continue \u00e0 dessiner, produire et diffuser ses meubles signatures dans le monde entier. Thonet symbolise la r\u00e9ussite industrielle depuis plus de 5 g\u00e9n\u00e9rations. Cette grande enseigne a su toutefois innover et se moderniser en s\u2019entourant des plus grands designers internationaux, tout en recr\u00e9ant encore des mod\u00e8les qui s\u2019inspirent de son savoir-faire traditionnel. M\u00eame si aujourd\u2019hui le si\u00e8ge rond des d\u00e9buts a \u00e9t\u00e9 remplac\u00e9 par une forme en trap\u00e8ze. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
