There is nothing more soothing and joyful than strolling through the vast halls of the MOCO Museum in Barcelona<\/strong>. This former 16th<\/sup> century palace, which belonged to an important noble family, has been preserved over time, then carefully renovated respecting the Past in order to house this museum<\/a> . This new independent space dedicated to contemporary art is located in the central district of El Born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The interior decoration of the palace highlights the contemporary and colorful works of the illustrious artists exhibited there. Indeed you will come across Banksy and Basquiat, passing by Warhol, and so many others… It’s an experience to be able to discover their work, but it’s also an experience to observe the interior design of this palace that emphasize each piece of art. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This building, crossed by several periods, preserves in its architecture a certain number of visible and remarkable elements. Thus the stone vaults and columns, like the dark wooden beams of the high ceilings or the parquet floors, contrast with the fanciful and colorful canvases of their creators. This mixture of styles gives a serene and stimulating atmosphere at the same time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among these works, you can recently find the imposing sculpted piece by Kaws, this internationally renowned New York artist. His sculpture, named “The giant”, is 6 meters high and was manufactured with a very specific sustainable wood called Afrormosia<\/em> from Central Africa. This statue represents the iconic character of Kaws initially inspired by Mickey. The giant<\/strong> welcomes you directly to the cobbled courtyard of the entrance to the MOCO Museum in Barcelona on your next visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
